Obama has been criticized internationally for attacking Libya

President Obama is facing growing criticism at domestic and abroad for attacking Libya.

Obama said the attack by the Allies on Libya  aims to depose Muammar Kadhafi from his throne. He said the U.S. also will perform nonmilitary ways, including economic sanctions and an arms embargo, to end four decades of rule Gaddafi.

A number of prominent liberal Democrats who are usually allied with President Obama, condemned the use of military force. An antiwar group announced plans to hold a protest in Los Angeles, Chicago and nine other cities this week.

Apart from domestic, overseas also condemned the attack. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin criticized Washington for what he called "crusade. "
